“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more.
It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal
into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our
past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.”
~Melody Beattie
In the name of gratitude and truthfulness I’ve decided to post a little piece of reality here once a week. Likely just a single picture. See my original post here.
It’s been a while since I posted one of these – somehow I got out of the habit but I snapped this photo of our counter this week and thought it needed showing. And this is a surprisingly tidy counter for a change. Yep, that’s a wilting pineapple and a tube of glue and fabric with an unidentified stain. Those are kid-made Christmas decorations and, I’ll admit it, a smelly cloth.
I’m thankful, so very thankful, that although this home never stays ahead of the mess, it is full to the brim with the people who make it home.
