One day recently in the middle of schoolwork we got a little distracted.
Scissors and stapler were out…er, along with half-eaten banana bread and porridge bowls…and one thing led to another.
Before I knew it we had many of these little books.
In different sizes.
Along with paper pouches…
…like this.
And they became books like this one (anyone else have trouble with those pesky “b”s wanting to be “d”s?)…
Somedays homeschooling has me wanting to pull my hair out but I’m always thankful for the opportunities and freedom it gives us – and for moments like these.
Awesome little books! My kids loved doing this sort of thing when they were younger too 🙂
Great Post! The Wannachildren are constantly making books.Lately it has been comic books. The characters include themselves, blob people, and Aliens.I am amazed at how much paper we go through.I think I will repent of this by tree planting…:)
my kids love making books and signs and basically manipulating paper anyway possible. looks like you’ve done a good job of incorporating the books into creative writing!
I love all things paper and the little books your children made are great!
I do understand about the homeschooling, but you are right about the beautiful moments like the one you captured.
Beautiful books!! Delight driven I tell you!! Yes (insert fist pump here)!!!
I just *love* days like these. Ahh, and someday you’ll miss those backwards “b”s.
We love making books! We love love love it! These look great!
agreed on missing the backward “b”s there is something sweet about it. They never stop making books and creating though…that is always lovely.
