“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more.
It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal
into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our
past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.”
~Melody Beattie
In the name of gratitude and truthfulness I’ve decided to post a little piece of reality here once a week. Likely just a single picture. See my original postΒ here.
I’m thankful for summer days, muddy toes and showers at the end of the day.
If you’d like to join in with a reality check of your own, please add a link or note in the comments!
muddy toes are so fun! What a great photo!
Love those toes! I’m feeling summer coming to an end.
So lovely and cute!
So happy that I’m back and can participate in your “reality check”! Hopefully your family is doing well!

Muddy toes = summer π I don’t think there will be much more muddy toes around here as Summer seems to have come to an end..
Mira is a beautiful name and the picture in another post is adorable. Can’t believe it’s been two weeks already.
I have an award for you in my blog π
Perfect summer feet! xx
Muddy feet – what a happy sight. It’s been very cold here in the UK this past week or so and I’m missing my own batch of muddy feet and footprints – remind me of that when I’m complaining about scrubbing the bath ;o)
p.s. your little Mira is very beautiful, with a beautiful name a lovely choice.
Hmmm, those muddy toes look exactly like some toes we had here this past weekend :). Gotta love ’em :).
xx oo
Gotta love ’em is right – I don’t think these toes have been clean for three months! π
I’m thinking an outdoor shower/spigot area would be awfully nice and convenient!
That sounds like a wonderful idea! I was too late with the camera to capture the stream of mud that was running off those feet – after being tracked over floor and carpets…
My favorite part is tucking in freshly bathed babes into cool, crisp sheets!
Love those muddy toes!
My photo isn’t really a “reality check” sort this week (as George pointed out…lol) but I have a lot to be grateful for, so here it is anyway: http://www.bflomama.com/2011/08/30/reality-check-6/

I adore this picture! The perfect kind of reality check!
Lovely photo!
The thing about muddy toes is, they just never get clean in the shower around here. I think the only remedy is a good soak. Every now and then.. π
