“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more.
It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal
into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our
past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.”
~Melody Beattie
In the name of gratitude and truthfulness I’ve decided to post a little piece of reality here once a week. Likely just a single picture. See my original post here.
Today I am thankful that our long journey home included nothing more eventful that a cheese wax chewed into a four-year-olds hair. Thankful that this time the golden locks were spared with the help of a hairdryer and lemon oil. Thankful that our spunky yellow girl always keeps us on our toes.

Oh my goodness Rachel, I am so amazed that you were able to get that out! Good going! I know who to call for hair emergencies! xx
I cannot believe you got that out! I remember getting gum out of my daughter’s hair…..with scissors…
Gosh! So glad you were able to get it out. What a great tip!
Lemon oil and a hair dryer?!? I’ll have to remember that one my friend. So glad your trip home was safe and uneventful (minus the hair bit).
Wax? Oh my. Glad it was resolved without cutting:) What a sweet little face she has! My 10 year old has been getting dreads a lot lately due to long hair and not brushing well, I think it’s time for a haircut.
Oh yucky wax! I remember gum in hair that eventually needed to be cut out. I’ll have to file away the lemon oil & hairdryer idea.
I find it difficult to imagine how you managed to get the wax out of hair. Never faced such a problem, but now I know where to find a solution. I hope you feel better now;)
