This mid-october weekend passed us by in a blur.
I’m feeling somewhat worn down and worn out thanks to letting myself get stressed by a lot of nothing. Forgetting truth and remembering truth. Hoping it’s nothing a day of letting myself off the hook can’t take care of. There were frustrations, stress and tears but mixed in with that was a whole lot of good.
And that is what I’m remembering now.
There was a whole lot of good in the shape of:
applesauce and apple pies
costume planning for my least favourite holiday but one the kids look forward to for months
enjoying lots of this album
five little people having so much fun in the simplest of ways
some sweet thrifted finds including costume additions and fabrics not to mention the $1.50 snow pants
a two-year-olds most wonderfully charming vocabulary
a fabric store and onion rings
baby sister so happy to be home and sleeping in her hammock again
a pie eating party with friends we’d missed
remembering this great song and this one
a market visit which sent us home with a beautiful box of apples and our kettlecorn treat
a special friend’s first birthday and the wonderful friends we celebrated with
early into pyjamas, pie and tea with hubby and snuggles on a chilly night
..and a little brother who is so good to his little sister.

Wow…more apples?! I am so envious! I have a few jars left from the box I put up last year [they were a surprise gift from visitors].
How were the onion rings? Those are one of my favorites to eat when the Vidalia onions are in season. And now you have made ME hungry!;)
I hope you enjoy your day and can get some rest. Your have a lot to do and a lot of little ones to take care of, but you must take care of you too.
With love.
xx
I always dreaded Halloween because I could never think of any costumes, which was always stressful to me. The work will always be there, so take care of yourself first and the rest will fall into place.
Amazing how fast time seems to be going by these days! I have been so busy with Miss Molly’s birthday and my own craftiness that I haven’t given much thought to Halloween costumes yet…yikes. Oh well, I always manage to pull them off even if I”m sewing on the 31st.
I love those two little hands together!! Don’t push yourself too hard sis!
Good girl. Keep focusing on the good. There is so much of it and yet it’s easy to be overwhelmed by the cares and burdens at times. I will be praying with you today…
Blessings, Debbie
Sounds like life is very full for you now. Breathe deeply, pray and continue. Glad that you had some snuggle time with hubby. And it does wonders when you see children getting along – sort of makes all the ‘other stuff’ unimportant.
sweet little hands holding each other!
so glad your weekend ended well and with a little quiet time for you and your love 🙂
Such a sweet little picture.
We had some trying times too, but you always inspire me to look at the good things in it, thank you!
What a sweet weekend you had. Kettle corn sounds so yummy!
sounds fun! sweet little baby hands!
That picture just melts my heart. Sounds like a very inspirational weekend!
