“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more.
It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal
into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our
past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.”
~Melody Beattie
In the name of gratitude and truthfulness I’ve decided to post a little piece of reality here once a week. Likely just a single picture. See my original post here.
Today I’m thankful that despite my goal of leaving the furnace off until the middle of the month we have a furnace to fire up and a home to stay warm in now that snow is on the ground and the temperatures are below freezing (we’re in the teens for you Fahrenheit readers).
If you’d like to join in with a reality check of your own, please add a link or note in the comments!
I am so envious!

Brrrr! We still haven’t turned ours on. It’s 56F/13C in the house in the morning (night temps around 38F/3C and day temps around 50F/10C). I wonder how long we can hold off? Glad to hear you’re safe an warm!

Glad to hear you are toasty warm! We had a rare snowstorm here last week in New England. That caused us to give in and turn our heat on too. I am joining you this week. I hope it gives you a giggle! Thanks Rachel!
