It’s been busy here. Hopes, plans, work and struggles. There was discouragement which was healed with hope. Disappointment that was answered with promise. Dreams we know are rooted in destiny but not dates. Questions, questions, questions that just may not need asking.
And so we wait and try to wait with grace.
And we soothe foul tempers with the comforting familiar.
And remember how much we love and are loved.
Because sometimes a storm doesn’t just hit once. And sometimes winter appears, a new home doesn’t, daylight savings ends and everyone feels a little weary all at once. But we have this family and this love that makes for a whole lot of gratitude.
And so I breathe deeply and hold tightly and slip softly into Monday.
Beautiful and true!
A beautiful post Rachel and something I needed to hear. It’s funny that you are way up there, I am here, but most of your post could have been written for me.
I hope your Monday is a beautiful one filled with much love, happiness and laughter.
xx
So pretty! I hope your Monday is filled with love and laughter.
Happy Monday, Rachel. xo Great post.
Beautiful. May you be granted the grace, joy and patience you seek. xoxo
Such wonder and beauty in everything you write my friend.
What a beautiful post Rachel. I think we are feeling much the same here… a little frustrated, a little weary, but so so loving and loved. Blessings, my friend!

How very true! Hope you have a wonderful week.
hope this monday is treating you and yours gently!
Sending some peaceful wishes your way. I am in love with how your photo embodies your prose. xoxo
Oh I am sorry that you’re feeling weary and a little stretched. Not sure of your house comments and what they mean (are you buying?), but glad that you can look at all with grateful eyes. For some odd reason when I read the title of this post, I keep thinking of Roberta Flack’s Killing Me Softly song…
Thank you for a beautiful post, just at the right time.
Your post is truly uplifting. Faith and love will restore the balance.
We love you all.
I missed you on Monday but I loved reading this on Tuesday. You have a beautiful way of counting your blessings when things aren’t quite as you’d like them, and it inspires me to remember to do the same. xo
