Here in the jay house we’re enjoying a wonderful holiday. We’ve revelled in our first Christmas and now we’re on Christmas take two with the other side of our family.
Apart from some sickness, which hopefully we’ve seen the last of, we’ve celebrated with good food, great thankfulness, lovely family, happy lights, last minute crafting, Christmas joys and funny children (and their funny tree decorations). We shared a wonderful Christmas with Dan’s parents. We said our farewells to them and greeted my parents and sister the following day. We are so blessed to have everyone come to us each Christmas, although we are missing my brother as he spends his holidays across the world.
We’re basking in the blessing of these days, these celebrations, these gifts, this love. I’m filling with plans, resolutions and anticipation for the year ahead. And as we count down the days of 2011 we’re cherishing our moments together. Trying not to get caught up in the speed of this busy family but trying to get lost in the peace of it.
