“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more.
It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal
into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our
past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow.”
~Melody Beattie
In the name of gratitude and truthfulness I’ve decided to post a little piece of reality here once a week. Likely just a single picture. See my original post here.
Sigh, it would seem the rule of threes found me after all. This time with a much more precious item. I’m thankful that I can shoot with my macro lens while I try to sort out if this lens can be fixed. Thankful for the friend who may be able to lend me a lens. Thankful that the body of the camera wasn’t damaged. And I guess thankful that I have no one to blame but myself.

So sorry for your loss sweetie!! Hopfully it can be repaired!!
Love, love, love that quote!!
According to superstition broken glass is good luck…unless it’s a mirror.
Hope that your lens feels better soon:(
Okay, now you are done with the three and nothing but good luck is headed your way!
Oh no! I hope it’s fixable… xo
{sigh}. hope luck shines on you now…
Oh no, that is awful! I hope it can be fixed within budget!
Hope you get it fixed soon. I hate those unexpected items. Why do they cost so much? So glad to have a generous friend – that’s very very nice. Plus, your macro lens can do an awful lot.
bummer my friend…Hope you can fix it soon:)
bummer. My canon rebel recently petered out on me… luckily right before xmas, as I was able to combine gifts from several people and get a new camera!
Oh no! Your camera is like another appendage. Hope you can clear up the problem quickly!
Sigh…i was wondering if this would make it into the reality checks…and then wondered how you might take a picture of it, since you no longer have a lens. (horribly ironic, isn’t it?) I’m glad you have a back up, and really glad that the camera wasn’t damaged!
So sorry to hear that. You’re right – better to blame yourself. One of my girls dropped (and broke) my camera a couple of months ago, and it was hard not to be a bit grumpy with the poor dear. 🙂
oops 🙁
Oh I am so sorry about your lens, and your two mugs!! But that’s it then, your quota has been reached and yes it probably could have been worse right? Your babe is growing beautifully Rachel, so beautiful and sweet :).
