I hope you have enough yarn because it will be a beautiful sweater!
I have The House at Riverton in my shelf just waiting for me to read it 😉 Maybe this summer…

Glad you are feeling better. Lovely yarn color that will be perfect for your little one. I loved all of Morton’s books too 🙂

How funny – you and Ginny are working on the same sweater in almost the same color! Great minds must think alike…

I am glad to hear you’re feeling better, and hopeful that we’ll see you here more often as you settle in. xo

Such a pretty color. I am sure it will turn into something beautiful. I find I miss the calming nature of knitting when I am away from it. We are also reading along and enjoying ourselves immensely. We also red the canoe book and loved it.

So playing catch up and after reading everything – yes, you do need to sit and knit…I can see how your sanity would need it. I hope you are feeling better and things are starting to settle down. So sorry about the broken pottery…that always hurts a little more than a dish. Try to get some rest and not stress too much!

I sure hope you have enough yarn for your baby sweater, I too love Quince yarn.
Your book looks really interesting will pick it up at the library.

If you liked House at Riverton you would love the novels of Nancy Mitford. In fact the whole Mitford family is facinating, do you know them?

I read Mrs. Frisby twice as a child 🙂 Once on my own, then later at school. Dad even got us the video- I loved it in all incarnations 😉
That yarn is gorgeous, I am sure it will knit up beautifully!

Thinking about knitting is half the fun!

Kate Morton is one of my favorites, too! You showed great restraint—sometimes I’m cooking with a spoon in one hand and the other holding the book!!! I adore the color of that yarn!!! yummy

  14. Hi Rachel,
Love the color of that yarn!
I read your post about all those things breaking. My favorite ceramic bowl just broke the other night and I was bummed. Jeff told me it would look pretty in the garden. 🙂
Enjoy settling into your new home.

    Lots of Love,
    Taryn

can’t wait to see the final cardigan – i’ve been debating trying the pomegranate colour from quince & co for some time now.

    loved house at riverton!

  17. That is such a beautiful colour. I love the Vertebrae pattern. Sweet little Mira will look adorable in it. Jacinta

  18. Jen says:

That is such a clever baby pattern. Hmmmm…I do have a baby I can knit that for.

I was so happy to hear that you’ve settled in your new home but so sad to hear that all the stress brought with it a recurrence of the shingles. I hope you’re on the mend soon.

  19. Leah says:

We are also doing the book along! Just started the book today in fact.
