Starting another weekend with a list of five moments of gratitude during my week.
There were some long days during this week, but it sure helps to be seeking out the sweet moments.
<> watching five littles have the most fun with their sleds on a small patch of unmelted snow and ice (forgive the grainy shot) while the sixth watched from the sun bathed deck
<> the foresight of doubling up on dinner prep a few weeks ago for the joy of pulling dinner, oven-ready, from the freezer this week
<> a load of laundry hung at 3pm and dry by 5pm – love this bright sun and long days
<> hubby bringing home a treat after a late day of work
<> the dear friend and neighbour who saved me three times in one day – delivering new needles for my now-frogged sweater, the missing pepper for our chili, and later, the eggs I’d neglected to account for – such a blessing

Now the weekend is closing in and I’m looking forward to a quiet one. No plans yet and I’m looking forward to making them up as we go. How about you? Do have big plans or plans to have no plans? However you have it, I’m sending love for a good one. xoR
We are going to visit our parents, also maybe some knitting&reading moments… nothing special.
Have a lovely and peaceful weekend!
I love how they are all bunched up on one patch of snow. It won’t be long now for the snow to melt!!
There is something to be said for good neighbors…I have a few, so I know it’s a blessing. Have a great weekend!!!
hurrah for your neighbour coming to your rescue!i hope these needles work for you! what a lovely picture. also i’m crazy jealous of laundry on the line… just so you know. haha xo
I love their smiling faces. Looks like a lot of fun and certainly warmer as some of them don’t even have coats on! Hopefully that’s the end of the snow. We got a small dusting of it yesterday and awoke to it this morning. Hope it doesn’t hurt the plants I already pulled out of the shed. We have no specific plans for the weekend just take it as it comes.
Sweet 5, my dear.
I told you my husband is all over that raw food bar now that you posted a while back. We added to it a hardcore “green powder” that the kids can’t taste.
: )
We had many plans, some of them got rained out so far…
How neat that you had enough snow for the kids to play in!
Enjoy your weekend!!
Oh, the joy of sledding 🙂
We’ve been skiing this weekend.
I’ll have to check if The Hobbit has come out on dvd here too – SO looking forward to see it!!
I’m so jealous that you’ve had laundry out already! We are still hanging ours in the attic. 🙂 xo
Such precious moments, Rach. Totally makes the long days worth it. 🙂
Hope your weekend was slow, restful and just lovely.
